Export Tax Rebate

Recently, with the approval of the State Council, the Ministry of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation issued the notice on raising the export tax rebate rate for some commodities. It is clear that the export rebate rate of some labor-intensive and high technology and high added value commodities should be appropriately raised from November 1, 2008 onwards.

Specifically, the export tax rebate rate of some textiles, clothing and toys has been raised to 14%; the export tax rebate rate for daily use and art ceramics has been raised to 11%; the export rebate rate of some plastics (7420, -390.00, -4.99%, bar) products has been raised to 9%; the export rebate rates for some furniture have been raised to 11% and 13% respectively; the export rebate rates of AIDS drugs, recombinant human insulin lyophilized powder, Huang Jiaoyuan, toughened safety glass, capacitor tantalum wire, marine anchor chains, sewing machines, fans, CNC machine tools and carbide tools have been increased to 9%, 11% and 13% respectively.

The export tax rebate adjustment is based on expanding domestic demand, improving the export competitiveness of enterprises, supporting enterprises to expand exports, and is conducive to promoting the steady and rapid development of the national economy.
