On September 1, Pakistan's prime minister's business investment advisor, Dawud, said the federal government agreed to resume preferential energy policies for five export-oriented industries, including textiles, leather, carpets, sporting goods and surgical supplies.

Daoud said that affected by the new crown pneumonia epidemic, exporters should focus on increasing exports, for which the government will provide preferential policy support for exporters. For the above five industries, the electricity price in July and August will return to the previous preferential price of 7.5 cents per kilowatt hour, and after August it will be 9 cents per kwh; the price of natural gas will return to 6.5 US dollars per British thermal unit at the beginning of last year.
